1. Unconditional Commitment to Safety
The protection of minors is the absolute, non-negotiable priority of Aphelion Pvt. Ltd. Maleu is exclusively an adult platform (18+). We maintain an absolute zero-tolerance standard for any content or behavior that harms, exploits, grooms, or endangers children.
2. 18+ Age Policy & Enforcement
Our age restrictions are enforced via a multi-step workflow:
- Self-Declaration Gate: Users must self-declare their age on signup as being 18 years or older.
- Future Age Verification: We are planning the implementation of advanced third-party age verification and assurance systems to verify age boundaries dynamically as Indian regulations evolve.
- Action on Underage Accounts: If any account is suspected of belonging to a minor (through user reports or profile metadata), it is deactivated immediately. A moderator reviews it within 24 hours. If confirmed underage, the account is permanently terminated, and all associated personal data is immediately and completely deleted from our servers.
3. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) Protocol
Any content featuring the sexual abuse of minors in any format (photos, video, text descriptions, or AI-generated imagery) is treated as a Critical Priority event:
- Immediate Removal: Violating content is completely removed from all Platform servers within 24 hours of confirmation.
- Permanent Ban: The uploading account is permanently banned immediately, with zero eligibility for appeal.
- Evidence Hold: All account data, access logs, and IP history are locked under a law enforcement hold (exempt from user erasure requests).
- Reporting: The incident is reported to the Indian Cyber Crime Cell, and we are planning registration with the NCMEC CyberTipline for international CSAM reporting.
We operate in full compliance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and provide direct cooperation to law enforcement authorities in all child endangerment investigations.
4. Trust & Safety Features
We build safety directly into our product to provide a safe, respectful environment:
- Confidential Reporting: Report any post, profile, comment, or message conversation easily. Reports are confidential, and reported parties are never told who reported them.
- Total Block: Blocking a user instantly hides all past, present, and future posts, profiles, and messages from both sides. Blocked users cannot follow you or request follow approval.
- Pre-Publication Content Filtering: Automated audits process submitted text and media URLs, stopping violations before they reach other users.
5. Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
Self-harm promotion, instructions, or gore are strictly prohibited and removed immediately. If you or a loved one is in distress, please contact the following professional helpline networks:
